<p class="bodytext">Applications have been invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow/Project Fellow under a research project sanctioned to the Centre for Advanced Research in Environmental Radioactivity (CARER), Mangalore University.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The project titled “Validation of Liquid Scintillation Spectrometry Based Carbon-14 (14C) Measurements Techniques by AMS and Development of Reference Materials for Environmental Monitoring Applications around Nuclear Power Plants” is awarded from Inter University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Candidates who have obtained MSc degree in Physics (with first class marks and preferably specialisation in Nuclear/Radiation Physics) and interested in working in this project may apply.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Those selected will be paid Rs 16,000 per month for two years and Rs 18,000 per month for the third year (GATE/NET candidates) or Rs 14,000 for 2 years and Rs 16,000 for the third year (for non-GATE/non-NET candidates).</p>.<p class="bodytext">Applications with relevant documents may be sent to Prof Karunakara N, Coordinator and Principal Investigator, Center for Advanced Research in Environmental Radioactivity, Mangalore University, Mangalagangotri – 574 199 to reach on or before March 30 by post or e-mail (carermu@gmail.com).</p>.<p class="bodytext">For details, people may log on to www.mangaloreuniversity.ac.in/carer</p>
