Mysore airport launch on May 15

The airport launched its operations during Dasara celebrations last year.  Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, on Wednesday, informed the media persons that Union Minister of Civil Aviation Praful Patel had agreed to inaugurate the airport.

When questioned about the aviation companies that have come forward to offer flight services, the chief minister said the talks were on.  

Principal Secretary for Infrastructure Development V Madhu said that Kingfisher, Air India and a few others had evinced interest in offering services from Mysore. Many seemed keen on providing flight services from Mysore to Mumbai, Delhi and other cities in the country.
