Youth hacked to death on CUK campus

A 23-year-old youth, who was at the Central University of Karnataka (CUK) campus at Kadaganchi in Aland taluk to celebrate his birthday with a female friend, was stabbed to death by miscreants on Saturday night.

Superintendent of Police N Shashikumar told DH, "The victim has been identified as Prasad (23), a native of Bhalki in Bidar district. He was working in Hyderabad after completing his MSc in Chemistry from a college in Bidar."

On the request of his female friend, a student of MA Economics in the varsity, Prasad on Saturday came to the university from Hyderabad to celebrate his birthday. When both of them were speaking on top of a building near the zoology department, two miscreants approached the duo and dragged Prasad away and stabbed him to death.

Both Prasad and his female friend hailed from Bhalki in Bidar district. A case has been registered by the police.
