Flipkart GOAT sale: Apple iPhone 16 can be purchased for less than Rs 60,000

Flipkart is expected to offer more than Rs 20,000 discount on Apple's premium iPhone 16 series.

Flipkart is all set to kick off Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) in India this weekend from July 12.

During Flipkart’s promotional sale, the e-commerce company is offering big discounts on wide range of products such as smartphones, smart TVs, home appliances, consumer electronics accessories, sport equipment, fashion apparel and more.

To build curiosity among prospective customers, Flipkart has teased a lucrative offer on iPhone 16. The device, which was launched in September 2024 with a starting price of 79,999, will be available for Rs 59,999. It means that there will be at least Rs 20,000 discount. It comes in three storage options— 128GB, 256GB and 512GB.

The iPhone 16 features 6.1-inch XDR Super Retina OLED display with pixel density of 460 ppi (pixels per inch), 60Hz refresh rate and support peak brightness of 2,000 nits.

The outer cover case is made of aerospace-grade aluminium and the display is protected by Ceramic Shield. It comes with an advanced formulation that is 50 percent tougher than the first generation and 2x tougher than glass on any other smartphone in the market. And, the device come with IP68 water-and-dust resistant rating. 

It boasts of dual-camera module— main 48MP wide-angle (f/1.6, 2x Telephoto ) and a 12MP 120°-degree Ultra Wide (f/2.2) autofocus secondary camera with macro photography and LED flash on the back. It houses a 12MP TrueDepth (ƒ/1.9) front camera, Autofocus with Focus Pixels.

It is powered by Apple A18 processor and supports Apple Intelligence features. It will work systemwide seamlessly, including native apps such as Notes, Keynotes, iMessage, Mail, Photos app and even third-party apps installed across all Apple devices. Also, Apple will offer the option to integrate Siri and other Apple Intelligence-supported apps to integrate with OpenAI's ChatGPT-4o, to offer an enhanced user experience.

In addition to voice and text responses, Apple Intelligence, which comes integrated with Image Playground will be able to churn out synthetic photos on iPhones with just text prompts.

In a related development, Amazon is also hosting similar Prime Day sale in this weekend from July 12 to July 14.
