<p>Police attached to the narcotics and economic offences, arrested three persons in Mangaluru on Friday, for allegedly trying to sell ganja.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The arrested are Rafique (30), Syed Shafid (30) and Mallikarjun (30), natives of Sakaleshpur in Hassan district.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The arrested were trying to sell the drugs at Lalbagh-KSRTC Road. The police seized 3.5 kg ganja, three mobile phones and Rs 550 in cash. The total worth of the seized property is Rs 58,550.</p>.<p class="CrossHead">Two more held</p>.<p class="bodytext">In a separate incident, DCIB sleuths have arrested two persons involved in peddling ganja in Sullia.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The arrested are Theerthaprasad (20) of Sullia Kasba and Vinayak (30) of Puttur. Both were trying to sell the drugs. The police seized 1.394 kg ganja and the vehicles used for drug peddling. The estimated value of the seized property is Rs 2,42,190.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Both were habitual offenders. Two cases have already been registered against Theerthaprasad in Sullia police station and one case was registered against Vinayak in Puttur town police station.</p>
