Train derails near Jaipur; no casualty reported

A super fast train between Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur and Rajasthan's Ajmer derailed near Sanganer in Jaipur on Friday afternoon. According to the railway officials, no injuries or casualty were reported.

The engine of the Dayodaya Express overturned and the immediate coach after it derailed near Sanganer railway station.

According to a statement issued by North Western Railway the incident took place at around 1:30 PM.

As per Sanganer police station investigation officer, Lakhan Khatana, "The incident took place when the train was running towards Jaipur junction from Ajmer. All passengers are safe".

However, due to the mishap, three trains got cancelled and a couple of trains were diverted.

The trains that were cancelled include Dayodaya Express between Sheodaspura Padampura and Ajmer stations, Visakhapatnam-Bhagat Ki Kothi Express. Meanwhile, the railway authorities also diverted routes of Jaipur-Mumbai Central Superfast and Kolkata-Udaipur express.
