Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu appealed for calm in the House saying, "people have overwhelmingly gave a verdict. It shows their confidence in democracy. We should respect that and allow the House to run".

He said he had received notices from several MPs but was disallowed. However, he said he will allow them to raise the issues in a different form.
