DU to conduct workshop for its officials on managing stress, acquiring leadership skills

Delhi University will conduct a four-week training programme for its officials on managing stress, developing motivation and acquiring leadership skills, according to a senior official.

Assistant registrars and administrative officials of the university and its affiliated colleges can take part in the programme beginning February 21.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday said his government will set up hospitals with a capacity of 200 beds each in every district of the state to provide better and affordable health care to its citizens.

He was speaking on the occasion of the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the proposed 500-bed hospital for Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) beneficiaries at Manesar.

Seven of nine labourers trapped in MP tunnel cave-in rescued

Seven labourers were rescued while two others were still trapped after an under-construction tunnel caved in at Sleemanabad in Madhya Pradesh's Katni district, officials said on Sunday.The tunnel of the Bargi canal project had caved in late Saturday night, trapping nine labourers. Seven of them were so far pulled out from the debris, Madhya Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Rajesh Rajora told PTI.

Bangladeshi smuggler killed in encounter at international border in Assam

Under-construction tunnel in MP caves in, labourers trapped

An under-construction tunnel of the Bargi canal project caved in at Sleemanabad in Katni district of Madhya Pradesh, trapping nine labourers, a senior official said on Saturday.

Among the trapped labourers, three were safely rescued. The rescue operation was underway to rescue the remaining labourers with the help of a State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDERF) team which arrived from Jabalpur, Katni collector Priyank M said.
