No more cancellations? Uber drivers can now see destination
Uber drivers will now be able to see the destination before accepting a ride, the ride-hailing app announced. "To remove frustration for riders and drivers alike, we are now showing trip destinations to drivers before they decide to accept the ride. In our attempt to incentivise right platform behaviour – drivers who meet a predefined trip acceptance threshold will be eligible to get the destination information so that they can make an informed choice. The upfront destination feature is already live across 20 cities and will be expanded to all others."

The Supreme Court on Thursday sentenced former Punjab Congress chief and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu to one year imprisonment in a 1988 road rage case, where he was earlier let off with a mere Rs 1,000 fine.
A bench of Justices A M Khanwilkar and Sanjay Kishan Kaul enhanced the sentence for Sidhu on a review petition filed by the kin of deceased, Gurnam Singh against the 2018 judgement.
The top court, however, rejected the contention by the victim's counsel senior advocate Sidharth Luthra to convict Sidhu under graver charges of cuplable homicide not amounting to murder.
