However, as clearly mentioned in the caption, the photo is fake and is AI-generated.

"Happy New Year Everyone SRK, aryan & gauri khan (Made with Ai)," the caption read.

The post has garnered over 6K likes and a flurry of comments since it was posted around New Year.

Many netizens expressed how wrong it is to generate AI images of people.

"AI generated. This is so wrong. Please people don't get carried away," a user commented.

"I can't believe people are falling for this," another user commented.

This is not the first time when people have generated AI images of famous celebrities.

Earlier too, celebrities like Rashmika Mandanna, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt have fallen victim to AI-generated pictures.

Deepfake videos of these celebrities had previously created a stir on social media platforms with many criticising the use of AI.

To strengthen awareness around cyber security and address the escalating issue of cybercrimes in India, the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C) of the Ministry of Home Affairs has appointed actress Rashmika Mandanna as the 'National Ambassador for Promoting Cyber Safety'.
