Hello and welcome to our live coverage from match 11 at the ICC ODI World Cup 2023!
Smiles all around the Kiwi camp as their inspirational captain Kane Williamson looks lively as he participates in the warm-ups and is likely to play his first match of the tournament, completing his comeback from injury.
Bangladesh will face an uphill battle today against New Zealand who have been dominant so far with two wins out of two despite missing their captain.

Williamson's return is fully confirmed now as the captain walks out with his counterpart Shakib Al Hasan for the toss. It remains to be seen though who makes way for Williamson as Rachin Ravindra has come in at no.3 and has been in scintillating form so far, scoring a hundred and a fifty in the first two games.

It’s raining centuries at World Cup 2023!

It's a good effort in the end by Bangladesh to give their bowlers a decent total to defend. They were down on the mat at 56/4 but a fighting 96-run partnership between Shakib Al Hasan (40) and Mushfiqur Rahim (66) helped them to recover.
Mahmudullah (41*) then added some very valuable runs on his return to the side to drag them to a good total.
The pacers did most of the damage today for New Zealand with Ferguson (3/49), Boult (2/45) and Henry (2/58) all picking up timely wickets. Now, they'll hope the batters get them over the line and make it three wins out of three.
Trent Boult is now the third fastest bowler to reach 200 ODI wickets!
Some will say I am, but I'm not too big on stats. Not why you play the game but nice to tick things off like that. New Zealand win by 8 wickets!
That's three wins on the trot for the Kiwis at CWC 2023! It was never in doubt despite a good start from Bangladesh when they got Rachin Ravindra out in the third over.
However, Devon Conway helped steady the ship along with his skipper as they stitched a good 80-run partnership. Then Kane Williamson (78*) and Daryl Mitchell (89*) just took the game away from Bangladesh.
The only worry for New Zealand will be the injury to Williamson who had to retire hurt. The captain only just made his long awaited return from knee surgery and they'll hope today's setback is not too serious.
Bangladesh also saw their captain Shakib Al Hasan leave the field early. He seemed to have picked up an injury when batting but still was brave enough to bowl his quota of 10 overs. Shakib is vital to the Bangladesh cause and they'll hope he's okay to help them get their campaign back on track.

It was a classic team effort from the Black Caps. Everyone bowled really well, created pressure throughout and then I could come in and do my role. Compared to what we had in Hyderabad this had more bounce, I tried to test it out early and if it is working then stick to it, I pushed them back and then bowled the full ball. It is early stages but nice to get three wins. We are enjoying our time and the group is being great back together, looking forward to the next game. Fortunately I have got that experience (of travelling across India), I haven't played here much but it's nice to get around and see some pace in the wicket, playing Afghanistan here next and hopefully the same wicket.Lockie Ferguson (3/49)
