Technology companies Asus, Samsung, Portronics and others launched smartphones, camera power banks, accessories, and more this week (February 3-9, 2025).

Asus ROG Phone 9 FE series

It sports a 6.78-inch full HD+ (2400×1080p) Samsung E6 LTPO AMOLED display with 1-120Hz refresh rate, support up to 2500 nits brightness. It is protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass Victus 2 shield and dust and water resistant (IP68) rating.

It also features a 3.5mm audio jack, dual speakers, a 5-magnet stereo speaker, dual-SIM slots, an in-display fingerprint sensor and a type-c port.

It houses 4nm class Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with Adreno 750 GPU, Android 15-based ROG UI, 16GB RAM with 256GB (UFS 4.0) storage, and a 5,500mAh battery with 65W Hyper charge fast charger and 15W Qi wireless charging.

It also boasts of triple-camera module-- main 50MP (with 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX890 sensor, f/1.9 aperture, 6-axis Gimbal stabilization) with 13MP ultra-wide camera and 5MP macro sensor with LED flash. On the front, it houses a 32MP camera.

The Asus ROG Phone 9 FE comes in Phantom Black colour and the price starts at THB 29,990 Thai Bhat (approx. Rs 77,863).

The new Ambrane power bank comes in a premium metallic finish with a 20,000mAh battery capacity.

The MiniCharge 20 offers multiple output options, including a 22W Type-C port, a 22W USB-A port, and the inbuilt 20W Type-C cable, providing flexibility to charge various devices. LED indicators will help users know the real-time battery status.

Also, it has an in-built Type-C cable, which doubles as a loop.

It also boasts advanced protection circuits to ensure safe charging and maintain the battery health of connected gadgets. It is available on Amazin, Flipkart, Ambrane e-store and other retail chains for Rs 1,899.

Fujifilm Instax WIDE Evo camera

Fujifilm instax Wide Evo Camera was unveiled by Kartik Aaryan in Mumbai on February 7, 2025.

The camera body features a premium design that combines a black base with metallic materials. It offers analogue-like operability, such as selecting effects using various dials and printing shots by manually rotating the 'Print crank'.

The new camera allows users to take pictures by viewing the LCD monitor on the back of the camera and selecting their favourite shots to print.

Also, it can be used as a smartphone printer. It comes with ten lens effects including 'Magenta' and 'Monochrome in addition to ten film effects such as 'Light Leak' and 'Color Gradient'. These two types of effects can be combined freely to create '100 Shooting Effects'.

Furthermore, for the first time in the Instax series, the lens effects feature a 'Degree Control' function, which allows users to finely adjust the effects such as intensity of light and colour gradation in 100 levels, enabling delicate and precise expressions as desired.

In addition, the 'Film Style' encapsulate the photo with frames for a cinematic instax print. The 'Wide Angle Mode' allows for a dynamic shot with a wider range, further enhancing the appeal of WIDE format film. It costs Rs 47,999 and the film roll cost Rs 1,299.

Lufthansa Airlines to support Apple AirTags

Lufthansa Group Airlines earlier this week announced that they will support Apple Airtags to help passengers trace their baggages without any hassle.

The customers can use the new function to privately and securely share the location of their AirTag or Find My network accessory via the familiar digital channels of the baggage tracing service. The group's airlines integrate this information into their systems accordingly and can therefore digitally support baggage tracking.

“Thanks to our app and website, passengers can now find solutions quickly and easily in the event of irregularities. In particular, we have been able to achieve significant improvements in the last few months in the area of baggage tracing. The integration of our customers' AirTag data opens up additional possibilities for us to act even more efficiently and quickly,” said Dieter Vranckx, Member of the Executive Board and Chief Commercial Officer of the Lufthansa Group.
