Technology companies HP, Samsung, Infinix, Reliance Jio, HP, Lava International Ltd and others launched computer, smartphones, smart TVs, accessories, and more this week (February 17-23, 2025).

HP Victus 15

It sports a 15-inch full HD anti-glare display with 144Hz. It reduces motion blur and image ghosting to deliver ultra-smooth gameplay. It supports a 300-nit panel. Non-reflective and low gloss helps with less glare while gaming outdoors.

It has a full-size, backlit keyboard with a numeric keypad. It supports up to 16GB DDR5 RAM, allowing gamers to scale their system based on their evolving needs.

It is powered by AMD Ryzen 9 Hawkpoint 8945HS NPU processor, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8GB GDDR6 graphics. It can deliver ray tracing and AI-powered enhancements like DLSS for ultra-realistic gameplay. It runs Windows 11 OS and comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Office 2024, offering users an enhanced work experience with improved accessibility tools and seamless multitasking. Additionally, HP is providing a 1-year free subscription to Microsoft 365 (M365).

It also boasts of OMEN Tempest Cooling solution as well as an IR thermopile sensor to accurately manage temperatures.

The new laptop will be available in Atmosphere Blue colour with prices starting at Rs 1,12,999.

The new Bespoke refrigerators boast Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered features such as AI Energy Mode, AI Home Care and Smart Forward with elegant designs and versatile storage options.

They boast of smart energy management, improved freshness retention, and an active fresh filter, which eliminates up to 99.9 per cent of harmful bacteria, all of which is wrapped in a sleek and customisable exterior.

The AI Energy mode identifies peak and off-peak hours of usage and adjusts energy requirements accordingly to achieve up to 10 per cent energy savings.

The new fridges also support five modes that range from Normal, Seasonal, Extra Fridge, Vacation, and Home Alone, catering to specific situations.

With its durable and energy-efficient Digital Inverter Compressor, Samsung is offering up to a 20-year warranty on select components of the refrigerator. Its price starts at Rs 56, 990.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 in Ivy Green

The company launched the new Ivy Green colour variant of the Redmi Note 14.

It features a 6.67-inch full HD+ (1080×2400p) super AMOLED display with 60/90/120Hz refresh rate, up to 2100 nits peak brightness and Corning's Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

It houses a 6nm class MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra octa-core processor with IMG BXM-8-256 GPU, Android 14-based Xiaomi HyperOS, 6GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB / 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage (expandable), and a 5,110mAh battery with max 45W charging speed capability.

The Redmi Note 14 features a triple-camera module-- main 50MP (1/1.95-inch Sony LYT-600 sensor, f/1.7) camera with an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide camera and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro camera with LED flash on the back. And, it also comes with a 20MP front camera for selfies and video calling

Ivy Green colour variant of the Redmi Note 14 5G will be available at a starting price of Rs 17,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant, Rs 18,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant, and Rs 20,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant.

Reliance Jio has launched the new JioTele OS, a new generation Smart TV operating system. The company has incorporated special algorithms and Artificial Intelligence tech.

TVs with JioTele OS can offer AI-powered recommendations, seamless integration of global and regional content, suppors all popular apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and more.

And, with regular updates, the TVs will get new features to enhance user experience.

Reliance Jio is collaborating with Thomson, Kodak, BPL and JVC to bring new JioTele OS-powered budget televisions in India later this year.

Samsung R&D Institute India, Bangalore (SRI-B) earlier this week inaugurated the Samsung Innovation Campus at Karnataka’s first women-only engineering college, GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women, Mysore.
