OnePlus is all set to launch the company's new flagship Android phone OnePlus 15, later this month on November 13 in India.
Ahead of the release, OnePlus has revealed that the upcoming premium phone will feature a propreitary technology to deliver an immersive gaming experience.
Touted to be the industry-first chip-level technology, OP Gaming Core is specifically designed to ensure the device stays stable, runs smoothly and retains high frames per second (fps) rates while playing graphics-rich games.
OnePlus engineers wrote 20,000 lines of original code operating at the foundational level of Android and support around 254 gaming-optimisation patents, to fully optimise the hardware and the software to improve gaming performance at the chip level.
It also brings the OnePlus CPU Scheduler, which conducts systematic analysis of gaming workloads to identify and optimise hundreds of potential load points that impede critical task execution.
This approach helps the device achieve up to a 22.74 per cent reduction in CPU instructions for key tasks, substantially decreasing both CPU load and power consumption during gameplay, says the company.

The OP Gaming Core also promises efficient per-frame power consumption and ensures the device's display panel consistently maintains a stable 120fps experience in popular games with minimal frame rate fluctuations. And, also ensure the device doesn't overheat while playing games. It should be noted that the OnePlus 15 will support 165fps at peak performance level.
Further, the new flagship phone boasts of OnePlus Performance Tri-Chip – a comprehensive full-link, chip-level hardware solution comprising three physical chips-- the Performance Chip, Touch Response Chip, and Wi-Fi Chip G2.
Through their coordinated operation, this system breaks through previous performance limitations at the hardware level, delivering an all-round enhancement to device capability while optimising the user gaming experience, said the company.
The Touch Response Chip will accelerate all touch processing offloaded from the main SoC. On the hardware side, it supports a 330Hz touch sampling rate along with an ultra-high 3200Hz instantaneous sampling rate. This will come in handy while playing battle royale games such as Call of Duty: Mobile, BattleGround Mobile India (BGMI), Free Fire Max and others.
The Wi-Fi G2, which comes with advanced RF modules and enhanced algorithms, including SmartLink, promises to improve network connectivity in weak signal environments. It is capable of optimising connection stability and reducing stutter in challenging network conditions, intelligently identifying and prioritising gaming traffic to ensure incredibly smooth gameplay.
This also comes in handy for buffer-free streaming of multimedia content on OTT apps.
