For the past few years, Samsung has been launching the flagship Galaxy S series in January, but this has not materialised in 2026. Now, the South Korean tech major has hinted that the Galaxy S25 series successor may finally debut in February.
It has released a series of short video teasers revealing all-new features coming in the Galaxy S26 series. It has been shown that the upcoming premium Android phone will boast an advanced user-privacy-centric display.
Samsung's phones, particularly the Galaxy S series, come with a world-class display with top-of-the-line anti-glare coating and brightness display panels on a phone in the industry. Now, the upcoming flagship phone promises to deliver an even better user experience.
When using the phone, the content on the screen will be visible only to the owner. Any form of content, be it a text notification, a video or a photo, can only be viewed from the direct line of sight of the user. Prying eyes of people on the side will not be able see any content, but a black screen.
This particular user-privacy centric display has been available as an 'anti-spy tempered glass protector' manufactured by third-party accessory makers such as Spigen, Belkin, and Amazon Basics.
Now, Samsung will offer the Galaxy S26 series with a built-in anti-spy screen guard. The company says it took more than five years of engineering, testing and refining to get the final product. Both the hardware and software are expertly calibrated to ensure the content on the screen is visible only to the person directly in front of it.
The company says users will have the option to protect specific parts of the experience, such as notification pop-ups. It’s a tailored approach that users can fine-tune or switch off entirely, rather than a blanket one.
It remains to be seen if Samsung plans to offer this anti-spy screen guard in just the Galaxy S26 Ultra or the other two variants-- Galaxy S26 Plus and the standard Galaxy S26.
To build curiosity among the fans and prospective smartphone buyers ahead of the product launch, Samsung is expected to reveal more such key features of the Galaxy S26.
