It brings several generative Artificial Intelligence (gen AI) features, including the 'Hey Copilot'. It is similar to the Hey Siri on iPhones and Hey Google on Android handsets.

This is an opt-in feature that allows people to start a conversation with Copilot Voice by simply using the new wake word 'Hey Copilot.' It is capable of understanding the commands in natural language and be able to respond with accurate answers.

Windows 11 October 2025 update also brings Copilot Vision feature to the PCs. It is similar to Google Lens. Once given the permission, the Copilot AI bot will be able to see what is on the PC's screen or camera feed to offer context-aware assistance. For instance, you can show a maths problem on a paper sheet and ask the Copilot to offer a solution. It will see through the PC's camera and will offer a step-by-step guide on the PC screen to offer the solution.

The new update is also bringing Gaming Copilot (Beta), an AI-powered gaming feature to enable Windows OS 11 computers to support the newly launched Asus ROG Xbox Ally series handheld consoles. With this, users will be able to connect the latter to the PCs to play games.

Microsoft has also revealed a list of features that will be released later. It will be rolled out to testers with access to Windows Insider Preview. Microsoft will be refreshing the user interface on the Taskbar and bringing new Copilot Actions. This feature will be on par with Agentic AI. Once told to perform multiple actions in an app, it will independently work in every stage to complete the action without the supervision of the human.
