KCR to take oath on June 2

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao will take oath as the first chief minister of Telangana on June 2, the Appointed Day for the newly carved 29th state of the Indian Union.

Even though the TRS wanted a mega swearing-in ceremony in front of the general public, the simmering heat has forced the party to opt for a simple event at the lawns of Rajbhavan on June 2. Party sources said KCR will take oath around 12:57 as suggested by astrologers close to him. Sources indicated that KCR’s cabinet will be compact and he will take steps to make it effective.

The initial strength of the Cabinet could vary from 9 to 15 berths and the names of KCR’s son, K Taraka Rama Rao, nephew T Harish Rao, senior party leaders Etela Rajendra, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Jalagam Venkatrao, Jagadeeswar Reddy, Madhusudhanachary and Jogu Ramanna are making rounds.

Taking the issue of government employees working in Telangana with domicile in Seemandhra region to the next level, TRS has virtually opened a war room at the party headquarters on Friday. Harish Rao received complaints from Telangana employees whose names were mentioned under the Andhra category.
