It's only April, but these states are already scorching

Northwest India and adjoining parts of central India are predicted to see “more intense and frequent heatwave” conditions in the coming weeks of April. The weather department attributed the heat to the lack of rainfall, due to the absence of active western disturbances over north India and any major system over south India. Here we list the states that are witnessing blistering heatwave conditions

Rajasthan: Mercury levels seared Rajasthan with the maximum temperature settling six to seven notches above normal in most parts of the state.
