<p>Three members of an interstate narcotic syndicate have been arrested with over three kilos of heroin worth Rs 12 crore in the international market, police said on Wednesday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The accused have been identified as Javed Khan, Chander Shekhar and Dharam Raj.<br />The gang was busted over information that Chander Shekhar used to sell heroin in east Delhi’s Trilokpuri. “Shekhar used to get the drugs from his brother-in-law Dharam,” said Rajiv Ranjan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell).<br /><br />On the tip-off, police laid a trap in Trilokpuri block 31 on Monday. The team nabbed Dharam when he was handing over a bag containing 1.5 kilos of heroin to Shekhar.<br /><br />In pursuance of Shekhar’s disclosure statement, a kilo of heroin was recovered from his house in Trilokpuri block 32. During probe, it was revealed that a man named Javed was the main supplier of heroin, while Dharam had been working as a carrier for seven months.<br /><br />“Shekhar has been selling pudiyas of heroin in retail in Trilokpuri for eight years,” Ranjan added. Shekhar and Dharam told police that Javed has several hideouts in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly and Rampur districts.<br /><br />A police team went to Rampur and Uttarakhand’s Udham Singh Nagar district to arrest Javed. He was arrested in Udham Singh Nagar on Tuesday and 850 grams of heroin was recovered from his rented house.<br /><br />Javed told police that he gets heroin from Anish who hails from Manipur. “Javed also prepared pure heroin from crude in the rented house in Udham Singh Nagar. He has been indulging in drug trafficking for 20 years,” Ranjan said.<br /><br />Javed’s brother Parvez is also involved in a case of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and was arrested by the narcotics branch of Delhi Police in 2002.<br /></p>
