IMA Jewels plans big in organised jewellery biz

Last Updated 14 October 2018, 16:05 IST

Just a couple of days after the announcement of demonetisation shook the markets, IMA Jewels was launched in 2016 when the sentiment was low and demand for jewellery had dropped. The brand is a part of IMA Group of Companies led by its MD and CEO Mohammed Mansoor Khan.

Though the company is a late entrant to the jewellery business, as there are many major players, Khan thinks otherwise, and is bullish about the business and wants to aggressively expand the number of showrooms.

“We started off with a huge showroom on Lady Curzon Road in Bengaluru. Though everybody was talking about demonetisation, we went ahead with the launch of our showroom, and since then we have been receiving wonderful feedback from our customers and also the number of footfalls has been increasing,” says Khan.

Less than two years after the installment of its first showroom, IMA Jewels launched its second outlet in Jayanagar.

“Both stores measure in over 30,000 sq feet and are adorned with over 2,500 kg of Pure 916 BIS Hallmark Gold in each store and over 5,000 Carat of GIA and IGI certified VSEFG Diamonds and over a 1,000 kg of bespoke silver ornaments, ensuring buyers are sure to fulfil all their needs and desires in a single visit to an IMA Jewel store,” adds Khan.

IMA Jewels is also on a massive expansion spree as it has plans to launch showrooms in cities like Chennai, Mysuru, Mumbai and Hyderabad. “The work is going on in full swing and we will soon launch our new showorooms,” says Khan, adding “Design is our USP. Every IMA Jewel captures the essence, heritage, art and beauty of our country and this is embodied in entirety by our master craftsmen.”

IMA Gold on Lady Curzon Road is solely meant for purchase of iCoins and iBars – Gold and Silver coins and Bars available from 1 gram to 1,000 gram.

The recently refreshed Dubai Gold collection with haars, pendants and also an entire bridal collection are custom made. “While there is a huge demand for our Dubai Collection in our Lady Curzon showroom, Jayanagar showroom witnesses more demand for our antique collection,” says Khan.

From permanent enamel topped designs to easily changeable water colour designs; from Kundan and semi-precious stones bedecked onto jewellery ranging from the smallest size to the most exquisite piece you can lay your eyes on all hues and variations from the colour spectrum lie across the entire range of bangles, bracelets, chains, haars, necklaces, pendants and rings, says Khan, adding that there is 50% off on making throughout the year and 0% charges applicable on stone and wastage.

With the onset of festive season, the demand for both gold and diamond jewellery has been increasing, and IMA Jewels aims to capitalise on this burgeoning demand with special sale and offer.

For those who love diamond, the jewellery store offers a special discount of Rs 10,000 per carat and 50% charges applicable on making and wastage until the end of this year.
