RCom Q3 net profit dips 61%

 Reliance Communications has reported a decline of 61.25 per cent in its consolidated net profit at Rs 186 crore for the quarter ended December 31,2011.

The company had a net profit of Rs 480 crore during October-December quarter ended 2010, Reliance Communications said in a filing to the BSE.

The total income rose to Rs 5,052 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 5,004 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal.

As on December 31, 2011, the company's total customer base stood at 150.1 million, up 2 per cent against 147.1 million in the previous quarter.

The company reports revenue per minute (RPM) at Rs 45 paise, “amongst highest in the industry and stable for the last eight consecutive years”.
