<p>Bengaluru: A 25-year-old man has been arrested for sexually assaulting and murdering a minor on the outskirts of Bengaluru, police said on Thursday.</p><p>The suspect is Yellappa from Raichur, who worked as a construction labourer.</p><p>According to the Tavarekere police, the parents of the deceased are from Kolar and work as construction labourers. Investigations revealed that Yellappa used to frequent their house and learnt about their whereabouts.</p> .Man convicted for sexual assault, harassment of 7-year-old girl; acquitted of rape charge in Thane.<p>Police said that the 14-year-old victim's body was discovered by her parents on Wednesday when they returned home from work.</p><p>Investigations revealed that Yellappa arrived at the victim's house on his motorcycle around 1.30 pm, barged in and sexually assaulted the minor.</p><p>When she tried to call for help, he got agitated and attacked her with a stick, without realising that he had killed her. He then fled the spot.</p> .<p>After the girl was discovered, she was moved to the hospital where she was declared dead. The body has been moved for further medial and autopsy procedures, police said.</p><p>The Tavarekere police have registered a case and began scouring the CCTV feeds. Through this, they connected the movements of Yellappa and apprehended him late on Wednesday night.</p>
