Bengaluru-based home automation and energy management solutions provider Silvan Innovation Labs on Wednesday entered the consumer segment by introducing four consumer products.

“We have been in the B2B segment, and now we are entering the B2C space. The four products are CBELL, SECURE, LUMPOS and zPLY, and they will be available in retail stores. In another six months, we are targeting to sell at 5,000 retail stores across the country,” said Avinash K Gautam, CEO of Silvan.

CBELL is Wi-Fi video doorbell that calls the owner’s phone when the doorbell is pressed; SECURE secures the home against unwanted intrusions as well safety hazards such as gas leakage and fires; LUMOS enables easy retrofit light automation using existing conventional switches ; and zPLY streams and plays centrally-stored music anywhere within the home.

Talking about home automation, Gautam said that automation is a Rs 8,000-crore industry in India.

“With the growth of smartphone adoption, the home automation industry has also grown over the years, and people can buy products for a few thousands,” he said.
