Syndicate Bank retired officers form association

Syndicate Bank's retired officers who worked in the field of agriculture financing and rural development on Saturday launched Syndicate Bank Agricos Association.

The new association is formed to help the stakeholders in agriculture, primarily farmers, banks, government and semi-government agencies and other development organisations.

The retired officers, having their Agricultural Sciences qualification and vast experience in agri financing, are expected to provide consultancy and advisory services to improve agriculture production. It is expected to help increase food production and value addition to promote higher income generation.

The office bearers of the organisation include N Srinivasan (Secretary), Dinakar Rao (President), J K Panda (Joint Secretary), Siddalingappa (Vice President), Ravindranath (Vice President, and M Mohammad Iqbal (Treasurer).

Syndicate Bank Agricos Association has currently 250 members and will avail the branch network of the bank and join hands with Nabard and other organisations to improve the income generation of farmers across the country.

Syndicate Bank GM (PSCD, RRB, FID & SLBC) C B L Narasimha Rao inaugurated the association in the presence of Syndicate Bank retired General Manager Dinkar Rao and Former Vice Chancellor of University of Agriculture Sciences Narayana Gowda.

The organisation also felicitated retired Deputy General Manager of Syndicate Bank K M Udupa, who is a legend in the field of agriculture finance.
