500 models displayed in Science expo

Prof M S Hegde, Dean, Solid State and Structural Chemistry Unit IISc, inaugurated the event. He talked about the significance of fundamental research and the need to promote basic sciences.

Around 500 science models were exhibited by 80 teams from several colleges in the City like Christ College, Jyoti Nivas College and R V College. Models of canon ball, electric ray, fish jacols, ladder, dancing ball, Archimedes weapon, chemical cell, de-multiplier, security system, and pulse detector were exhibited.
