Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Sports Minister Baljit Gosal were opponents during the hockey match on Friday at the Bishop Cottons Girls School in the City.

The delegation of the Harper on Friday was at the Bishop Cotton Boys’ School where he learnt some basics about hockey and cricket. While cricket did not enthrall him much, hockey made him stay on the playground for nearly ten minutes.

The Canadian Premier joined the team of Cotton Girls' Camp Nandini S Patil while Gosal sided with the Cotton Boys' camp. In the 10-minute Ice Hockey, the Sports minister’s team won against the Prime Minister’s team scoring 2-0 goals.

The arrival of high-profile visitors made the entire school campus wear a festive look.
The Canadian delegation led by Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his better-half Laureen were accorded a warm welcome. Children lined up with the Indian Tri-colour and Canadian Flags. Harper walked towards them and shook hands with every child on his right.
Mr Laureen greeted children, who had lined up on the left side.

The Harpers left the school premises on time, drove straight to Bengaluru International Airport at Devanahalli and boarded the Royal Canadian Air Force Special Aircraft in the afternoon to proceed to Manila.
