<p class="title">A sanitary pads installation to create awareness about women’s health made it to the Guinness World Records on Wednesday. </p>.<p class="bodytext">The longest line of sanitary pads with the figure of the uterus in the middle was lined up for the same.</p>.<p class="bodytext">About 10,105 sanitary pads measuring about 1,078 meters were lined up for the record as part of the All India Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AICOG – 2019). 15,000-odd doctors participated in the event. The pads were later given away to four schools to be distributed among girl pupils.</p>.<p class="bodytext">As part of the five-day conference, a stall to create awareness about women’s choice in conception, Parivartan, was also inaugurated.</p>.<p class="bodytext">An initiative by PSI India and Asian Research and Training Institute for Skill Transfers, Parivartan is a platform to create awareness about the use of contraceptives.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The initiative will soon have community mobilisers visiting different parts of the state and talking to women about the use of contraceptives.</p>
