No extension of deadline for property tax rebate

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will not extend deadline for the five per cent concession on the property tax beyond May 30.

BBMP Commissioner N Manjunatha Prasad said taxes have to be paid on or before May 30 to avail the five per cent concession.

“The Karnataka Municipal Corporation Act says concession can be given only for one month. In special cases, the deadline can be extended for just one month, which is May, only with the BBMP Council’s approval,” said Prasad.
