Poultry farmer robbed of Rs 12.7 lakh

Two men riding a scooter robbed a poultry farm owner of Rs 12.7 lakh near Anekal on the southern outskirts of Bengaluru on Wednesday.

Ankaiah, of Guddanahalli, was carrying a bag containing the money that he had earned after selling poultry to two businessmen. As he reached the Guddnahalli Lake, the men rode up and hit his two-wheeler. As he fell down, they snatched the bag. He raised an alarm, but the robbers fled in no time.

The jurisdictional Anekal police, who have opened a case of robbery, suspect that the robbers knew beforehand that Ankaiah was carrying cash.
