RJ Rashmi files complaint against abusive messages on social media

Radio Jockey, Rashmi Ramakrishna, popularly known as Rapid Rashmi has filed a complaint with the cyber crime police and the State Women's Commission stating that she is getting abusive messages and threats on her Facebook account.

In the complaint, RJ Rashmi said that she began getting threats after the controversial comments by Anup Bhandari and Nirup Bhandari(Kannada film, Rajaratha's team) about the audience on her Facebook show.

She went on to explain that in the last 11 years of her profession, she had never hurt people's sentiments and these messages disturbed her. Despite tendering an apology, people have sent her the messages to tarnish her image, she added in the complaint.

What was the controversy?

On her Facebook live show—The Rapid Rashmi Show— RJ Rashmi asked the team what they would call those who would not watch Rajaratha, Anup Bhandari said: "Kachada nan maga(trash)."

Avantika Shetty repeated the same comment and Nirup Bhandari added: "Kachada l****r nan maklu (dirty l****r).

People have condemned such comments on social media.
