Accordingly, Train No BM-1/MB-1 between Mysore-Bangalore City-Mysore Special Express will run from October 11 to 17. It stops at Mandya, Maddur, Channapatna, Ramanagaram, Kengeri. It will leave Bangalore City at 11:15 am and arrive in Mysore at 2 pm. In the return direction, it will leave Mysore at 2:30 pm and reach Bangalore at 5:30 pm.
A special train Mysore-Chamarajanagar-Mysore Special will run on October 17 (Jamboo Savari). It will leave Mysore at 8:40 pm and arrive in Chamarajanagar at 10:20 pm. In the return direction, it will leave Chamarajanagar at 10:35 pm and arrive in Mysore at 12:05 am. Train No BM-2/MB-2 between Mysore-Bangalore City-Mysore Special Express will run on October 17. It will leave Bangalore City at 1 am and reach Mysore at 4 am. In the return direction, it will leave Mysore at 9:15 pm and arrive in Bangalore at 12:15 am.
The composition of the following trains will be augmented with two additional general compartments from October 8 to 17. They are; T No 268/267 Mysore-Shimoga Town Passenger, T No 235/236 Mysore-Bangalore City-Mysore Passenger and T No 261/262 Mysore-Arsikere-Mysore Passenger.
Chariots arrive
Chauffeur driven chariots will be hitting city roads in a day or two enhancing Dasara mood.“Trucks carrying spare parts of four chariots from Patiala have arrived and the parts are being assembled”, Commissioner of MCC, K S Raykar told Deccan Herald. Initially, two chariots will be launched. In all 21 chariots will be introduced as a permanent feature, the officer added. On the other hand Dasara Tourism Sub-committee will be distributing uniforms to select 40 tongawallahs on Friday.
