Campaign against Hashim Ansari

A signature campaign has been launched against Mohammad Hashim Ansari, one of the main Muslim plaitiffs in the Ram temple-Babri masjid ownership issue, in Ayodhya for initiating efforts to resolve the issue amicably, DHNS reports from Lucknow.

Acitivists of a little-known outfit, Anjuman Mohafiz, launched the signature campaign against Ansari soon after the Friday prayers at several mosques in the temple town.

Ansari, however, dubbed them as “frustrated” people, who would not be able to play politics over the matter once the issue was settled through talks.
