Series of burglary worries residents of Mandya

Around 3 30 am, thieves made a vain bid to enter house of a teacher, Madhusudan. However, they escaped when the teacher raised alarm. Later, the thieves attacked another house in the same colony belonging to Prakash and took away Rs 40,000 kept in his pant pocket. They took to heels when the house owner cried for help.

On receipt of information, Mandya Rural Police visited the spot and registered a case in this regard.

Incidents of burglary, snatching mangalasutra and other crimes are on the rise in Guttalu layout. This has worried residents.They want the police chief to intensify night patrolling in the area.
