Crowds shouting “No electricity, no votes,” and waving black flags met Prasad and his wife as they disembarked from a chopper at Sikarpur in the Sonepur Assembly constituency in Saran. Prasad, who was visibly in discomfiture, was flustered further when the 2-3 feet high dais, with several of his supporters over it, collapsed as soon as he stepped on it.
No one was hurt in the incident and a rough wooden cot was arranged to serve as the dais.
