Justifying the rebellion, he said that at that time a section of MLAs stayed put in a resort in Hyderabad demanding change in leadership after it was upset over the style of administration by the party, he said.

“We never knocked the doors of either the JD(S) or the Congress for our problems. We settled the issue by discussing with our national leaders Sushma Swaraj. In the present crisis the leaders of the Opposition parties are playing a major role,” he said. Asked was he happy with the way the government is being run at present, he did not offer a reply. After much coaxing, he said his party at the helm had implemented more development works than any previous governments. “We are giving a good governance”, he claimed.

Reddy said the BJP is facing crisis because of entry of those who should not have been in the party. Similarly, he added, Siddaramaiah should not have joined the Congress. “Unexpected developments are bound to take place because of his presence in the Congress Party,” he added.
