CD doctored, claims Suresh Gowda

Last Updated 21 October 2010, 18:08 IST

Gowda accused Kumaraswamy and his family of trying to defame the ruling party by distorting facts. “Kumaraswamy has produced yet another flick. But the people of the State will not believe in such rubbish that is being churned out,” he said and added the JD(S) top brass had become “desperate after its conspiracy to dethrone Yeddyurappa failed”.

On images of wherein Gowda and Srinivasa are seen together, the BJP legislator sought to know why there is no match between the audio and video in the CD. “Kumaraswamy claims four cameras were used for the sting operation. They could have recorded everything. But nowhere there is any clarity. It is obviously a plan to frame me,” Gowda said.

He accused Kumaraswamy and his father H D Deve Gowda of trying to ruin his political career. “They have not allowed anyone from the Vokkaliga community to emerge,” Suresh Gowda, a Vokkaliga, said.

Home Minister R Ashoka rubbished the allegations that he had tried to lure Srinivas into resigning from his seat. “I do not figure in the CD at all,” he said. Ashoka said it had become a habit of the JD(S) to make baseless allegations and people of the state had seen through it.
