From a Stealth aircraft to dedicated car mall, poachers prevention programme to effective utilisation of black money, students from various colleges exhibited several models at the intra- and intercollegiate project exhibition.

Organised as part of ‘COSMOS v3. 0: an exposition of innovation’, the event organised by the Christ college had over 60 stalls from as many as 15 colleges and nine stalls.

Premier organisations such as Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, Krishnendra Nursery, Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), FRLHT I-AIN, Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, D C Enterprises and HAL- Helicopter had also set up their stalls.

The two-day event (29th and 30th) commemorates the ‘International Year of Biodiversity.’

Focus on biodiversity

This year’s theme, – Cosmos v3.0 – is an attempt to provide a significant platform to students to increase their understanding of the vital role biodiversity plays in sustaining life on earth, college authorities said.

The fest also aims at raising scientific awareness and at promoting radical understanding of the need to conserve biodiversity.

Competitions

More than 125 projects by the students will be on display showcasing the mélange of scientific endeavors.

Adding fervor are the intra- and intercollegiate competitions named as AXIS and ELLIPSE respectively. If AXIS rotates amongst Christites, ELLIPSE is the cosmic orbit that brings the inter-collegiate crowd together.
