This film is the result of the earnings of weavers, one of the most oppressed and backward sections of society. The producers have tried to weave in a golden dream by pouring in a considerable amount of their earnings, expecting a tidy profit with some wholesome entertainment thrown in.

What follows contradicts their intentions. With no direction or thought, this rip-off of Thimiru (earlier remade as Minchu in Kannada), zips past a bewildered viewer. Most of the first half is consumed by the director’s penchant to experiment. The second half plods on, with plenty of fights thrown in. Dialogues by Panchavarna indicate the depth of depravity - everyone, from teachers to people who are plump are not spared the so-called comedy touch. But they also stay true to the jawari dialect of the northern districts. The director gets a good work out from cinematographer Mahantesh Maski who doesn’t disappoint either.

Vomit-inducing lyrics spoil the pleasure of catchy tunes. Editor Srinivasulu is guilty of not knowing when to his scissors. Only Jyothika’s spirited turn as Kali makes the film watchable. The Aarbhata rests only with the title.
