After the formal inauguration MLA MP Kumaraswamy said that the government is taking care of the medical needs of common people with health care centres.
Kanakadas has been commemorated with the hospital's inauguration on Kanaka Jayanthi, he said.

MLA said that a comprehensive development plan has been framed for Kalasa Hobli under the Western Ghat Development Plan.
Balehole-Basarikatte road repairs, Kalasa Rathabeedi road concrete work, bridge construction on Kudremukh- Karkala road will be taken up he said and informed that a total of Rs 4.95 crores has been released for the developmental works.
Funds have been allotted for hanging bridge from Kudremukh Reserve Forest Fund.
