Orange

Cupid confounded
Last Updated 26 November 2010, 17:27 IST

Having made a delectable debut with his 2006 Bommarillu, director Bhaskar delivers a dud this time. In fact, Orange, is nowhere near even his second flick Parugu!

Spotlighting on proverbial puppy love, the director loses his grip on story and script.
Ram, the beau, though cupid-struck and smitten by Jaanu (Genelia), harbours misgivings that love will not last for long and that he can love Jaanu unto eternity. Orange drags on while Ram woos Jaanu in derring-do style –being a graffiti artist he also paints a mural of Jaanu’s face. Playing the lover boy to the hilt, Ram Charan becomes the part. Genelia with her vivacious presence and impish smile is sheer pleasure to watch in a cherubic role.

Shahzahn is just a pretty face. Kiran Reddy’s cinematography captures the scenic beauty of Sydney and matching his visuals is Harris Jayaraj’s background score.
