Cruise vessel calls at M'lore port

The vessel hailing from Mumbai included passengers from United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Canada and Australia. The passengers visted 1,000 pillar temple at Moodbadri, Monolithic statue of Lord Bahubali at Karkala, Soans farm, Cahew factories, St Aloysius chapel, Gokarnanatha temple, Kadri Manjunatha temple and many places in and around Mangalore. The ground tour was organised by M/s Lia Travels by facilitating the vistors with a/c buses and professional guides. This is the 6th cruise vessel calling at the Port during the current financial year.

NMPT Chairman P Tamilvanan stated that four more vessels are expected this year in contrast with the four vessels handeld previous year. The next vessels are scheduled to arrive on December 15 and December 23. The port could now attract more cruise vessels with the availabilty of improved facilities like cruise lounge, better roads etc., he added.
