Parties try to woo voters in Gudibande, but remain silent on failures

Candidates from Congress, CPM, JD(S) and BJP parties have been fielded in almost all the constituencies of the taluk. Besides, there are those who contesting as rebel candidates too.

Once considered as the Congress bastion, the taluk now witnesses rebel in Congress and CPM has grown as a major party in the constituency. JD(S) and BJP are gearing up to face these two parties.

At Beechaganahalli constituency, it is a four-cornered fight with Congress, BJP, JD(S) and CPM fielding their candidates.

Stiff fight expected

Chendur Venkatesh, who had contested from Congress last time, has been denied of ticket and is an independent candidate. He is contesting from Somenahalli constituency.  Political experts believe that due to stiff fight between Congress and CPM may prove advantage to BJP and JD(S). Even BSP is also in the fray.

In the total 11 TP seats, lack of basic infrastructure is the common problem here. But till now, none of the elected representative has addressed the issue, say the people.
Congress and CPM will have a straight fight in Beechaganahalli, Chendur, Hampasandra, Ullodu, Somenahalli and Tirumani constituencies.

Triangular tussle

At Doddnancharlu, Katenahalli, Pollampalli, and Yallodu will see a triangular fight between Congress, JD(S) and CPM.

Congress candidates are counting on Union Minister M Veerappa Moily’s  charisma while CPM candidates are banking on G V Srirama Reddy’s achievements.

Though solutions for the problem have been the main agenda for all the parties to woo voters, they are not addressing ground-level issues, complain residents here.
