More scams of BJP govt to be out after polls: HDK

Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, he said the ZP and TP elections are like semi-final game for the JD(S). In case if mid-term polls are announced, then it will be a final match. The JD(S) has brought out several scams of the State government. In fact, the Congress as a opposition has failed completely in bringing out the failure of the ruling party. It was JD(S) which has effectively donned the role of Opposition, he added.

Kumaraswamy said that the JD(S) will win double the seats compared to last Zilla Panchayat and Taluk Panchayat election in Dakshina Kannada district. Several BJP leaders are disgusted with the failure of the party and the scams surrounding the government. Many workers have already joined the JD(S). Former Chief Minister S Bangarappa’s entry to the JD(S) has given strength to the party in the Coastal district. There is a wave in favour of JD(S) in the State.

“The people of the State are seriously looking at the failures of the UPA government. The rise in the prices of essential commodities has affected the middle class and the government has failed to check rise in price. Even the UPA government is not free from scams. It is filled with 2G Spectrum and Commonwealth Games scams. Instead of distributing foodgrains among the poor, foodgrains worth Rs 60,000 crore got wasted in the godown,” he added.

Stating that Hindu Samajotsava are common during elections, Kumaraswamy said that instead of seeking votes on the basis of the development works undertaken by the BJP, the ruling party is indulging in wooing the voters through Hindu Samajotsava. They are not organised for the benefit of the Hindu society.

“The CM office had directed several sub registrar offices to furnish details on the property owned by the relatives of the Kumaraswamy family. However, the CM office has given the list of those people who are dead 30 years ago. Even if they search for the next 10 years, the BJP will not get any details on the illegal property possessed by our family,” he ridiculed.

To a query on the JD(S) maintaining low profile with regard to the burning issues in DK and Udupi, Kumaraswamy said that JD(S) was not a strong party in the region.
However, now it is being strengthened and party will fight against all the burning issues, he added.
