'Boost Kannada cultural activities'

He was speaking after inaugurating various cultural activities on the occasion of the Beml Nagar’s 37th Rangavarsha in the City, on Tuesday.

Artistes like B R Mallikarjunaiah should be performing not only in the Kolar Gold Fields but also in cities like Bangalore, said Rajaram.

Theatre enthusiasts should be feted for facilitating the growth of cultural activities in Kannada in Kolar Gold Fields, where the presence of Tamil and Telugu is highly palpable, said theatre and  TV artiste K V Nagarajmurthy.

The efforts of the enthusiasts directed towards the strengthening of the Kannada language is highly commendable, he added.

C G Krishnaswamy, who was  a big force in the Kannada amateur theatre movement evinced greater interest about rural artistes, observed Nagarajmurthy.
