Youth Congress membership drive from February

Stating that the election has been held in 14 states by Youth Congress and the process has already been completed in 10 states, he said a person between the age group of 18 and 35 years can be a member of the Congress youth committee. The candidates must provide age proof, address proof and photograph and should not have any criminal case filed against him/her, he said.

Elections will be held for youth leaders once the drive is complete.

The voters list will be scrutinised and drafted and the election date will be announced.
There are a total of 1,518 booths in Mangalore Lok Sabha Constituency. The voters will elect 5 members in the basic booth level committee and 10 members in Panchayat level committee. Both the committees will constitute electorate for the election of the assembly.

Here, the voters will have to cast two votes to elect a delegate to the Lok Sabha committee and to elect office-bearers of the 10-member Assembly committee.

There are reservations for SC/ST and women candidates, he said.
