Addressing a press conference in Bangalore, Bangarappa said the Governor has Constitutional powers to intervene and weed out corruption and nepotism in the government.

“The Governor will be doing the State good if he takes action against the corrupt government,” Bangarappa said. He alleged that the BJP central leadership has lost control over Yeddyurappa.

To a query on whether he was regretting joining the JD(S), Bangarappa replied in the negative. “In Congress, you have to knock the door of the party high command for every thing. I am not used to waiting at the doors. I am happy in the JD(S),” he said.

Predicting that the State Assembly could be dissolved any time, Bangarappa said he would work with H D Deve Gowda and H D Kumaraswamy to strengthen the party.
