<p>Ishwar Chand Sharma, a resident of Noida Sector-22, received his death certificate on January 14 which declared him dead as on August 18 last year, police said.</p>.<p>Sharma's son Dev Dutt has filed a police complaint yesterday saying that the certificate has a seal of Registrar (Birth & Death Registration), they added.<br /><br />However, the Registration department denied having issued the certificate. The complaint was registered today and the preliminary investigation revealed the document to be fake, they said.<br /><br />The investigations are on to ascertain the cause and origin of the document, they said.</p>
