<p>Students from 13 colleges of the City took part in the fest which was based on the theme, ‘Poseidon’ (dive through challenges) and related management with the aquatic world. <br /><br />The aim of the fest was to encourage the competitive spirit of students through a range of activities. <br />The fest succeeded in bridging the gap between the corporate world and academics. Chief guest Dr M I M Nehruzii, Chairman of Great Eastern Management School, gave the inaugural address. The judges for the events were from the industry and academia. <br /><br />All the students were brimming with enthusiasm on the inaugural day. Events like Ice Breakers, Ad-o-mania, Mock Stock, Best Manager, Time Management, Investor's Guide, Best Business Leader and Business Quiz happened on the first day in which the students took part in great numbers.<br /><br />Ice Breakers was quite entertaining with innovative themes. Each team was named after a sea and introduced themselves differently. <br /><br />The performances based on patriotism, campus and lifestyle of a techie were quite entertaining.<br /> The Best Manager event was conducted to gauge the qualities of budding managers based on their aptitude, group discussion skills, stress management ability, discipline and inter-personal communication.<br /><br />A large number of students took part in Time Management, a fun-filled event. It comprised rounds like treasure hunt wherein, even the audience enjoyed themselves fully. <br /><br />Investor’s Guide and Mock Stock tested the knowledge of students about the various aspects of the share market like investment, trading, marketing etc.<br /><br />The rest of the fest was postponed by a week because of the Karnataka bandh. The final rounds of each competition and some off-stage events happened on the concluding day. <br /><br />Some off-stage events like Poster Presentation and Mascot Designing had a big turnout. Shishira, a BBM student from Surana College, felt happy about the fest. She was also one of the participants for the Business Quiz.<br /><br /> “Even in our college, we conduct various fests. But taking part in fests organised by other colleges is a different experience altogether. Envision was well-organised and totally fun-filled,” she said.<br />Narahari, Director of Communication, Texas Instruments, was the chief guest for the valedictory function and gave the prizes away to the winners. <br /><br />Surana College emerged as the winner and took home the overall championship trophy. Kristu Jayanti College, Seshadripuram College and Indian Academy bagged many prizes as well.</p>
