The sound and the fury of the big race at the Turf Club has slowly died down. The roar of the crowds and the beating of the hooves have faded away. But what were the horses up to when they were not racing? Our photographer took some time off to focus on these poor souls. The sights might lack glamour but they were unusual. Like the horse that was spotted taking a dip in the pool or, well, perhaps cooling it heels (read hooves). And seemed to enjoy it thoroughly. While one of the equine treasures was undergoing a training session, the other was being groomed. The trainers certainly seemed to have their hands full. And when all that was over and done with, the equestrian wonders were caught together at the starting gate. Waiting for the battle to begin.
