Exhilaration echoes at Jaganmohan Palace

Enthusiasm of the children couldn’t be stopped even though they were on their feet throughout the day at a cultural programme ‘Taare Zameen Par’ organised by Rotary Mysore at the Jaganmohan Palace here on Sunday.

While more than 750 children took part, parents doted on their special performances. A fancy dress competition organised for those aged between five and 10 years caught the attention of the audience.

Children dressed as rockets, flowers, laptop, aeroplane, computer and legendary fighters much to the amazement of the crowd. The organisors distributed a bag and a souvenir as part of the occasion.

Inaugurating the programme, Police Commissioner Sunil Agarwal said that the society should recognise the hidden talent  in such children. He said that the society should ensure that the children are treated with love and affection.

Bharath Cancer Hospital Chairman Dr B S Ajaykumar, Mahajana Education Society President R Vasudevamurthy,  Rotary President Venkatesh, Vice President Manohar, Secretary Sunil, honorary president R Vasudev Bhat and others were present.
